People who try out my fragrances for the first time are typically surprised by their potency and stamina. I often read comments that say ‘lasted such a looong time, especially for a natural fragrance’. Here’s why…. D’Aguilar appears to be a simple, classy lavender fragrance that many might pass by in preference for a more exotic sort of heavy amber or mukhallat. Yet, D’Aguilar is one of the most elaborate, complex and difficult formulas I’ve ever composed. The idea for a honeysuckle fougere seemed straightforward. However its taken 3 years of arm-wrestling for it to finally yield. What a pair of stubborn mules we’ve both been. I don’t usually disclose all the notes/ingredients in my formulas, its just not done. However D’Aguilar is a great example of how the layering of incredible ingredients, endless arguments, foot-stamping, back-turning and begging have finally produced a work that demonstrates my theory that ‘if it ain’t great, it ain’t finished’ D’Aguilar is a cool, sweet green floral that has finally achieved its balance point so that it projects beautifully and lasts many hours.

The Supernatural Dragon She commands centre stage. The glorious Loong captures the attention of all who pass by. Charismatic, seductive, this golden dragon is supernaturally magnificent. Dragon Boat Ylang Ylang is a golden harmony of cool sweet flowers and features a stunning batch of heady Ylang Ylang. Yuzu, White Lotus, Green Tea, Osmanthus, Honeysuckle, Ylang Ylang and Australian Sandalwood. Available in pure parfum dilution (35% formula in fractionated coconut oil) 12ml in glass attar bottles with glass dabbers.

Scent of a Dragon Replenishment. This batch is my best by far, featuring a stunning aged Sumatran patchouli with 92% patchouliol (the highest grade of patchouli alcohol). It is a tart, rusty, sweet, and refined patchouli. EAST Motif Fleuri is a gleaming shaft of sunlight spearing into the darkness of a jungle floor. A glowing red lantern in an impossibly black night. This golden sepia scent is a growling tiger in a bottle. It celebrates the history of myriad Eastern cultures:- Music, painting, carving, sculpture, ceramics, fashion, poetry, cuisine, architecture, traditional customs, agriculture, invention, ritual, literature, science, philosophy, religious practices and family. This is a fragrant relic; a tiny vessel filled with mysterious secrets, a perfume of invisible dangers and erotic desires. Rose-Gold Light of Joy and Solace FLOWER OF LIFE floats, like petals that dance in the wearer’s aura; a scented lantern of rose-coloured light that trails and billows in the air. A cool, light, dry rose chypre for peace and harmony. FEATURED NOTES INCLUDE: – Kashmir Lavender, Russian Lavender, White Lotus, Bulgarian Rose Damascena Miller, Rose de Mai, Rose abs, Rose otto, V. Cedarwood, Ho wood, Frankincense Papyrifera, Oakmoss & Vetiver. I’ve used an assortment of ingredients to support that dream of being surrounded by floating rose petals, and a precious, rare frankincense (Papyrifera) for longevity and to keep it’s wearer grounded. The perfume contains a very (very) large quantity of exquisite rose oils – Damask/Centifolia, French Rose De Mai, Bulgarian Damascena Miller (Taif variety). This selection comprises premium absolutes (extracted) and ottos (steam-distilled). * $500 donated for assistance in the rebuilding of the model’s community food farm (shown in the picture) after it was razed by a herd of cattle that broke through the fences to get inside and ate everything in sight. Gentle Glow INNER GLOW absolu de parfum is a lush, powdery and elegantly vintage-styled floral made from all-natural and 100% plant-based ingredients. My intention was to create a sort of 1940s retro mood-scape that I could love as my very own signature … the one . I love it so much that I decided to pair it with a perfumed bath oil and body milk, for layering with the perfume, for skin pampering and just for joy. Delicious when worn after a shower and drifting into a beautiful sleep. Bath Oil contains fragrance notes listed below and fractionated coconut oil. Fragrance Notes include:- Italian Bergamot, Jasmine Sambac, Frangipani, Madagascan Ylang Ylang, Vanilla, Orris, Patchouli and Afghani Muskroot Body Milk Ingredients: Purified Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerine, Jojoba Oil, Macadamia Oil, Avocado Oil, Ceteareth 20, Phenoxyethanol, Stearic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Natural Vitamin E. The Growl from the Shadows A smoky banquet of dangerously erotic temptations. Perfume of the Jaguar. FEATURED NOTES INCLUDE:- H and-tinctured cacao and vanilla beans blended with absolutes of cocoa, jasmine sambac, orange blossom, labdanum, styrax, ambrette (musk from Hibiscus seeds), tobacco & smoke accord, pure distilled Indian sandalwood and aged Sumatran patchouli . Archeologists claim that cacao was first cultivated by pre-Olmec people known as the Mokaya around 2,500 BC in the dense jungles of the Soconusco region (areas of Guatemala and Mexico). Imagining the ancient world of the Mokaya , this fragrance is a study in dark, earthy scents that evoke the tropical richness of dense, steaming jungles, cascading waterfalls, fertile soil, exotic fruits and flowers, warm skin, tobacco and wood-smoke. True to my original 2013 formula, this fiercely beautiful, powdery, dark perfume is a scent-sketch of the origins of chocolate as it may well have been experienced in sacred rituals many hundreds of years ago. A deliciously raw, sexy and sometimes pungently dirty wonder, this is not, in any way, a sweetly gourmand cupcake. This is another of my characteristically wild earth-scents for nature lovers.

Magnolias in the Moonlight The Scene…A lush, tropical garden park at dusk. The air is singing with the molasses-thick scents of champaca flowers and pink lotus. The Sufis have come and taken their seats in the courtyard, where lanterns are lit and begin to glow and incense drifts upwards to the stars. The tablas begin, the shruti starts its drone, and the Emperor of Qawwali, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan arrives to begin his incredible Night Song. Best by far when worn in humid, hot weather, I imagine Night Song as the queenly scent worn by the Empress Draupadi (Sanskrit: योजनगन्धा) – ‘she whose fragrance can be felt for miles’. NIGHT SONG Vintage featured ingredients :- Champaca, Pink lotus, Hindi Oud, Viet oud, Frankincense, Myrrh, Tobacco, Patchouli and spice accord. I recently found a hidden stash of my original, undiluted Night Song formula from 2016. After diluting it in ethanol, I found that the top notes had softened, and needed a little help, so I’ve added a boost of aged Sumatran patchouli to refresh it. The punch is back and the dry-down is gorgeous, and it will continue to mature and gain potency over the years. * PLEASE NOTE This release, the 2025 NIGHT SONG perfume is the original Night Song formula from 2016. I previously described it on my instagram posts as Night Song OG but it’s the exact same juice. We only had a very few labels left over from the first release so I ordered more with our current brand & logo. It’s totally fitting for this fragrance to slot into this collection – The SUNSET EFFECT , due to its name, its nature and its late return.

Luminous Rose Business Featured NOTES include:- Hand-tinctured Japanese Green tea, an exemplary Rose de Mai, Pink Lotus absolute and East Indian sandalwood. The addition of Gyokuro to the new Pink Lotus has rendered this variation to be even more airy, less sweet. This is my favourite rose perfume, simply due to two factors, a superb batch of Rose de Mai, unlike any I’ve smelled before, and the way in which this fragrance has captured so much oxygen; it’s so airy, and the scent permeates the room with delicate pink lotus and roses, and gradually departs, leaving behind a trailing silk tail of East Indian sandalwood. It’s a perfume to mark those truly special occasions that arise in life, and probably best suited for those in the process of falling head over heels in love.

The fragrance is an Arab-styled mukhallat that is darkly powerful, mysteriously seductive and very intense.

Planet Earth SACRED GROUND NECTAR includes a much larger quantity of Tasmanian Boronia and Australian Sandalwood and less Honey Myrtle, rendering the final composition to contain more creamy caramel notes and less of the lemony scent of the myrtle. NOTES include:- Tasmanian Boronia, Red Desert Rosewood, 3 sublime stocks of the sweetest, creamiest Australian Sandalwood (2 varieties of Santalum Spicatum and 1 of Santalum Lanceolatum), Honey Myrtle, Manuka, CO2 Agarwood, and hand-tinctured organic Ballina Honey. When I decided to stop making Embers out of concern for the scarcity of Indian Sandalwood (S antalum Album ), I knew there was another sandalwood perfume to compose, one that would effortlessly take the next step. Here is that evolution on from Embers, featuring a very large quantity of the most beautiful stock of Australian Sandalwood ( Santalum Spicatum ) I’ve truly ever smelled. Sacred Ground Nectar is a syrup of wild honey, native nectars, malted earthy floral sweetness and creamy sweet, caramelised wood. Its like stepping into a sepia photograph of cherished memories, a past where nature shaped us, nurtured us and the world felt safe and whole. A time of harmony.

Fearless Wild Beauty The limited edition SAUD collection of three fragrances was a commissioned project exclusively made for a client in Saudi Arabia. Our client (also named Saud ), first requested a beautiful signature scent; a leather, tobacco, oud and amber potion for his luxury perfume boutiques in Riyadh. It was an exciting creative brief and I relished the opportunity to compose this jewel. SAUD Cuir et Tabac features truly rare and precious raw materials including premium grade Quadeem (aged) Hindi oud , a large quantity of gorgeous and very hard to source hand-tinctured Afghani Muskroot (a botanical castoreum-like fixative used by Russian perfumers in the early 20th century), precious Nepalese Spikenard, tobacco absolute, certified Indian sandalwood, labdanum and styrax absolute. Cuir et Tabac is a complex and beautiful fragrance for fearless folks who relish intensely moody, Arab-styled fragrances. Limited quantities of this fragrance in our 30ml atomisers are available for a short time.

Reference Library of other brands After many years of making and collecting fine fragrances, I’m clearing out my studio reference library of other brand perfumes I’ve bought over the years. These days, I mostly just want to wear my own fragrances, and so I’m keeping a much smaller collection of beloved ‘fumes I cannot bear to part with. This selection of quality fragrances is exclusively made by mainstream premium brands. Each fragrance has only been sprayed a very few times, and is guaranteed to be authentic. Most items are boxed, (or at least very carefully repacked) genuine, brand fragrances, purchased from reputable sources (local department stores, and well-known online stores). I paid full retail prices for these. All items were kept in their boxes and/or in a dark cabinet. Some are very vintage, aged, yet totally stable, with beautiful scent integrity. I will keep adding to the list as things progress. Each item comes with samples of my own work.

Sharp Green Needles in the Wild Tallemaja is Swedish for Pine Tree Mary, Tall Mary, also known in other Scandinavian legends as the Huldra and Skogsra. A postcard from this perfume would reveals a Boreal; a coniferous snow forest filled with majestic pines, firs and spruces, the ancient, earthly guardians of time and vast silence. Tallemaja Boreal was crafted especially for a lovely customer who loves balsamic, woodsy, forest fragrances, but has skin sensitivities to oakmoss. It prompted me to craft a new, drier forest fragrance, heavily leaning into the leather of Vietnamese oudh and bound together by the musical sweetness of Black Spruce. In place of oakmoss, I combined the earthy greenness of violet leaf absolute and galbanum to achieve the dense, dark layer of ground. I chose yuzu for the crisp opening to accentuate the citrus bite of conifers, Cedarwood and Olibanum to anchor the whole composition in a strong foundation that would support the myriad volatile essences of the sharp green needles.

I crafted a lovely new aromatic blend on the evening of our local festival -“River Fire” here in Brisbane, whilst the whole sky was lit up with fireworks (we live very close to the River). The next day I was fiddling around with a new and experimental private collection version of Blue Lotus, increasing the lotus floralcy, and hyper-intensifying the composition. As I sat pondering the new Blue Lotus, I picked up my tester of “River Fire” and layered it with the Lotus brew. It was an oscillation that I immediately needed in my life. I combined the parts and allowed it to brew. I’ve since used it in many locations as per the Florida Water folklore – to cleanse and purify and cast out negative, stuck, old and broken records of the past. It is empowered by the Ancient Egyptian mythos of the sacred Blue Lotus, its relationship to ecstasy, magic and the mystical rhythms of life on Earth (circa 8000 BC).
